Speed Training

Lesson 1: Speed Training

Do NOT start this section until you have received your feedback from your last submission.  You do not want to waste time speed training bad pronunciation habits.  The original materials you used were at 40% reduced speed.  Next you will practice with 20% reduced speed, then finally move up to the original speed.  This training will do wonders for your Spanish speaking and perception ability.

  1. Listen to the file once straight through to acclimate your hearing to the speed.
  2. Play the recording again and try your best to rap along with it.
  3. Repeat this exercise until you can comfortably sing along with the recording with no mistake or delay.
  4. Once you can do this, try to recite the lyrics from memory at that speed.
  5. Once you can do step 4 for the 20% reduced speed, move on and do steps 1-4 for the original speed file.
